A tiny little upgrade to the laundry room!

Recently the laundry room has been on my mind, it was the very first project we did when Peter moved into our home. So that being said, it was  time for just a small upgrade to spice it up! On a whim, I had this grand idea of the "magic light trick" being placed over top of the chalkboard we already had! That awesome barn light was $24 from Walmart! I could not believe the price and the fact that they had that in store!!! Sometimes I find they have a limited selection. Anyway, what used to be a gold frame on the chalkboard is now white. I love how it gives a pop  against our "aggreable gray" walls. This time, I actually used a paper towel to apply the paint, so that it would give that distressed look instead of the smooth look. I applied "gallery white" by Behr, which we already had on hand since all our trim uses the same color.

Previously we just had all our laundry soap(s) sitting atop of the dryer, which didn't look nice... It made it look junky. So instead I purchased the drink dispenser and canister to hold our dryer sheets from Walmart. Last but not least, that sweet little plant stand I purchased at a yard sale just last weekend for $2, so I just spray painted it :) and added the pot that we already had on hand. So, if you haven't take noticed yet... I literally spray paint everything, it's so easy and doesn't take much time at all! The greenery I had gotten at hobby lobby for 50% off! Guys we made out so well with the items we bought to upgrade it! That is a grand total of $45, and it looks so very different!!!

Just with that little upgrade, I now don't mind coming to do the laundry! :) See friends, just a couple small changes can make a big difference to a space!!! If you are finding yourself having trouble trying to figure out what those small changes are, contact me!
